The new McLaren team will be present in Valencia next Monday
Attention, Next Monday before 200,000 spectators and retransmitted by Telecinco, Fernando Alonso will be at the wheel of his new one sitter for McLaren. There is high degree of expectation because joining Alonson is the other Spaniard De La Rosa, with all the team dressed in their new uniforms and with the one sitter built to take, once again Fernando alonso to the highest place of the team world championships and drivers for Formula 1.
The show will cost more than 4 million euros and will have as its backdrop the city of Valencia, in the Costa Blanca. It will also host the prestigious violinist Vanessa Mae and Cirque du Soleil. The show is available in part thanks to is sponsors, specially the Santander Bank. Alonso will drive his new car through the streets of Valencia in an urban exhibition circuit. This will be the third exhibition of this type we will experience in Spain, with the previous being Madrid and Barcelona, in 2005 and 2006 respectively but with the Renault team as the stars this time.
The presentation will be held in the City of the Arts and Sciences of Valencia, and Alonso will dress red and white, the new colors of the team in virtue to the agreement with the Santander Bank.
And for all those aficionados that feel the need to purchase official Fernando Alonso merchandise in the new McLaren wear (T-shirts, sweatshirts, etc) will have to wait until the 15th to do so. All this is sure to be the beginning of many great moments for Spanish sporting events.
