The MUBAG exhibits artistic depths of the Alicante Delegation

Here’s another great thing to do this summer. The MUBAG museum in Alicante will exhibit a total of 76 works of art, between paintings and sculptures and eight shelves with different objects pertaining to the permanent artistic collection of the Alicante Delegation. The works are classified by themed group which include “religious art”, “the thinkers of art”, “the portrait”, “customs and social themes”, “the view”, “El bodegón” and”Gabinete”. This way, the exhibition breaks out with the chronological form that has characterized the exhibitions of the last six years.
The exhibition realizes a journey through the alicantina paintings of artist Duch as Rigoberto Soler, Xavier Soler, Manuel Baeza and Gastón Castelló, among others and the different themes that have been shown within. It is also possible to view works from the next artists such as Varela, Pizarro and José Pérez Gil.

What a gem this is ! we came upon MUBAG by chance ,passing the door as it was being re-opened for the afternoon. Those two recently conserved pieces on the first floor ,especially Puertas de Sacristia were stunning! Such an opportunity to see unknown Spanish works. Other favourites are Ricardo Navarrete y fos ,Heliodoro Guillen & xavier Soler.
