Francis Ford Coppola may film his new movie in the Costa Blanca

One of the cinema greats, American Francis Ford Coppola, visited the Ciudad de la Luz studios yesterday to see if there was a possibility of finishing the end of his new project in the cinematography complex.
The author of jewels such as the “Godfather”, “Apocalypse Now” and “Bram Stoker’s Dracula” is thinking of initiating a new project in Argentina about the history of two brothers. Coppola is looking to see if he could finish filming here in Alicante.
Coppola explained yesterday that the movie which will be initially filmed in Buenos Aires is a story about family history “about fathers, brothers and sons”, that he classified as “very emotional”.
The director explained to all the journalists that there is a possibility of completing the filming in Alicante, giving date information as to next March and April. How cool would that be?
Coppola visited the Ciudad de la Luz audiovisual complex where he was given a tour of all sound stages, back lots as well as all the installations. He was very impressed and said that Ciudad de la Luz has a “very complete and modern” installations, especially in the technical sections.
