The local Fallera committee of Benidorm is here to do what it needs to do: To promote the party and celebrate our Mediterranean character. Proof of this is their fantastic Paella contest that brought together twenty four groups yesterday to make this delicious and traditional meal that is made in this part of the world like nowhere else.

This contest is in anticipation of the celebrations to come from the Benidorm Fallas. Two huge paellas were also made in addition to the contest ones to invite anyone who was interested in the spirit of these celebrations, or anywhere just walking by taking a sniff of the delicious paella scent along with the music which called out to all.

Paella wasn’t the only main course, Gazpacho Manchego was also in hand although a great sangria would have been great to with the weather we have been having, this complete meal didn’t leave anyone hungry.

I don’t think tourist come only for the sun anymore our gastronomy also keeps them coming back for more.
