L’illa of Benidorm, a natural Mediterranean reserve

One of the many attractions of Benidorm is its enigmatic horizon, dominitated by the L´illa of Benidorm (the island of Benidorm) a rectangular formed rock that can be seen from the entire city and that is deserted, with the exception of nature. L´ílla is a natural reserve, but not for its surface but for its marina.

The island of Benidorm received for that reason the protection of the Generalitat, that enmarks within the natural reserve of the Sierra Helada. About 2 miles from the port of benidorm you can only get close to this marvelous island in small boats or yachts and you are off to enjoy the views of Benidorm from a different view. There are numerous tourist boats that take tourist from the port to the island, where once there you can scuba dive and find all the underwater treasures you can imagine.

The island has a small dock in which you will find a small cafe restaurant where you can relax and enjoy a snack or a full meal.. the arroz a banda is a favorite.

The island of Benidorm has many stories and legends about pirates and huge giants that arrived on the island and made history. Overall, this is an enchanting place that makes for a great day trip with the entire family or friends.
