Before the month is out I suggest you go see a great exhibition in the Museum of the  University of Alicante .  the Sempere hall of the MUA will welcome until the 28th of July the sample “Figuraciones del árbol’, a selection of photography from the African  artist Angèle Etoundi Essamba.
This initiative forms part of the cultural acts organized by the summer courses of the Rafael Altamira University. The objective of this exhibition it to build conscious awareness of the role of the African women more than the geographical limits. It is a showing of 33 photos and one video in which the body of a colored woman takes center stage.

Angèle Etoundi was born in Camerún but was raised mainly in Paris and Ámsterdam. She has held more the 20 individual exhibitions and has participated in more than a dozen collective samples in different countries such as Africa, Europe, and the United States.
