Except the Jellyfish
Wednesday, June 20th, 2007
One of the things about the summer and the beach I hate is not being able to go in the water due to those pesky jellyfish, without a warning you are get a sting and the pain is not so much fun.
To avoid these bothersome creatures the ministry of the environment are counting on the collaboration of dozens of volunteers this year that will help detect the jellyfish at high sea and avoid their proximity to the coastal and beach areas.
Another imitative with a similar objective has been adopted by the Benidorm City Hall that has already designed a special device incase there is a need, like last year with the warning of a big bank of jelly fish arriving towards the beach. From the moment of their found location, a warning will be set out so that boats could go out with big nets to catch the little bad guys. If this doesn’t work they will place warning flags throughout the beach and they will distribute antihistamines to the lifeguards.
