Christmas Festival in the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia

Christmas Festivals are a tradition in the Costa Blanca and around the world. I just love this time of year, which is full of love and compassion. Together with loved ones we can enjoy all the activities of the season which bring us a holiday cheer.

The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia celebrates its sixth Christmas Festival, offering different type of activities such as theater, concerts, arts and crafts, even an ice rink located in the lake of the Science Museum.

You can´t miss this celebration which will also include a ballroom dance demonstration and class being taught by some of the teachers from the hit television program “Mira Quien Baila” on Saturday December 16th.

Visit Picasso Art in Alicante

La Muestra de Picasso, an art exhibition of some of  Pablo Picasso’s works will be available for viewing in the exhibition hall of the Cultural Center of Bancaja in Alicante.

Here you will be able to see pieces such as La Suite Vollard, La Suite 156, la Suite 347, The Box of Remorses, The Smokers, Family Potrait y la Suite 60 as well as several ilustrated books.

In groups of 5 to 8 people with the help of two instructors you will learn basic aerodynamic theory on parapenting. This sport is not for everyone but if you want to start the year off with a new adventure, this is for you.

Nativity Scene Museum in Alicante

December is here and with it Christmas arrives. It is time to pull out that Christmas tree, decorations, lights and one of the most important Spanish traditions the nativity scene. Every year it is customary to set up the nativity scene together with family and also go and visit other nativity scenes set up by friends and family. In Alicante you can also go and visit the nativity scene museum located in the old part of town.

Some of the works represented in this museum show the different aspects of the birth and life of Jesus. They are elaborated by various artists that belong to the nativity association of Alicante. Take a look this holiday season and share the magic of this special place.

Tuesday through Friday 10:00 to 14:00 and 16:30 to 19:30.

Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00

Sunday from 11:00 to 14:00
