El Campello Town Hall is sponsoring and offers us a free music concert in celebration of young musical talent. The festival is a contest between 8 different bands from all over Spain. All having been chosen from hundreds of music demo entries, these bands are the best of the best. The contest will be judged by a panel of judges from El Campello ranging from town officials to well known musicians in the area.
All contestants will perform original songs of different musical styles anthing from rock to pop or flamenco. There will also be a featured band called GUARANÁ and their opening act the local eXIT band. A night sure to keep young and old entertained.

The service is called AutoExpreso from Renfe. There are actually only five routes in all of Spain offering this service of which one is Madrid-Alicante. Prices vary from 74 € to 84 €, depending on the size of the vehicle.
There are several advantages to this service such as: Enjoyment of the train ride; knowing that once at your destination you will have your own car to get around in; your car can be used as storage for your luggage, allowing you to travel light.
Although there is a fee for this service, it would pay for itself with the savings on taxis or rental cars. Taking into account the average cost of renting a mid-size car in Alicante is around 200 € a week, this service would be about 40% cheaper. It also saves the time and hassle of pick up and drop of… as easy as having your own car.
Any other advantages? Yes! The time and peace of mind. The Madrid-Alicante roadway is quite good but on holidays and key dates traffic often piles up getting out of Madrid and arriving in Alicante. To be able to travel peacefully on a train, not having to deal with the traffic jams and road cuts is a treat. The new Altarias make the trip in three and a half hours, offer wider seats, better illuminated carriages, better cafeteria services and entertainment, making them an interesting option. Oh! and if you have a motorcycle you can also use their equivalent service called MotoExpreso.
